Just after the 2026 Chinese New Year holiday, the tech world was set abuzz by a single piece of news: OPPO officially announced that the Find N6 is coming, with a four-character slogan — “Smooth and Flat All the Way.”
While the poster revealed very little, between the lines it hinted at the answer foldable phone users have been waiting for for years.

This answer centers on the crease. Since the birth of foldable smartphones, the crease has been like a ball and chain tied to the ankle of the entire category. No matter how manufacturers optimize hinges or improve display materials, that faint line visible after unfolding constantly reminds users that what they’re holding is not a truly seamless screen, but a folded one. For users who pursue a truly uncompromising experience, this crease alone is enough to turn them away.
Not long ago, Zhou Yibao, head of the Find series at OPPO, launched a poll on Weibo. The result came as no surprise: a large number of users believe that crease performance on current foldable phones is still far from satisfactory.
Zhou’s follow-up response was particularly telling. He said that the “gaps” users care about most are exactly what OPPO intends to properly smooth out this time, asking users to trust OPPO’s investment and determination in crease optimization.
This is not just empty talk. Ahead of the official debut of the Find N6, OPPO has already held internal product preview sessions. According to attendees, the impact of this new device was nothing short of stunning.
In a previous teaser video, Zhou Yibao used a vivid analogy: the crease on a foldable phone is like the gap between two beds pushed together—you know it’s there, and lying on it never feels quite reassuring. To eliminate this very “gap,” OPPO has invested massive R&D resources. After seeing the real device, several tech influencers have even gone so far as to predict that for at least the next six months, the Find N6’s crease performance will remain the best in the industry.
Where does this confidence come from? The answer lies in the hinge. The Find N6 is equipped with a sixth-generation precision-engineered quasi-conical hinge, composed of 136 ultra-precise components made from aerospace-grade nanocrystalline titanium alloy. Key parts are manufactured using 3D-printing processes, with tolerances controlled within ±0.02 mm. Combined with an optimized ideal curvature radius, the visible crease width has been reduced to under 0.15 mm.
Its predecessor, the Find N5, had already passed TÜV Rheinland’s “imperceptible crease” certification, maintaining a crease depth of less than 0.15 mm even after 14 days of folding. This time, the Find N6 aims to push that boundary even further.

What makes this even more intriguing is that industry sources reveal that when Apple was developing its first foldable iPhone, it reportedly purchased the OPPO Find N5 specifically for teardown and research, closely studying even the technical route of key precision components such as the hinge. The fact that a global giant with unparalleled influence over the supply chain chose to dismantle a foldable phone from a Chinese brand for inspiration speaks volumes in itself.
There are also reports suggesting that OPPO may have secured exclusive access to a critical display production line, meaning that in the first half of 2026, the Find N6 could be the only device worldwide capable of delivering a truly “near-crease-free” experience—with even Apple and Samsung having to wait their turn.
Of course, the Find N6 is far more than just a “crease killer.” Based on currently leaked information, it is targeting the absolute ceiling of foldable phones across every dimension.
Performance
The Find N6 is expected to become the world’s first foldable smartphone powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, featuring a seven-core design, 3nm process, and a peak clock speed of up to 4.61GHz. The device has already appeared on Geekbench, scoring 3,524 in single-core and 9,090 in multi-core tests, clearly demonstrating its strength. Paired with LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.1 storage, it offers configurations of up to 16GB RAM + 1TB storage. Packing such a full-power setup into the space-constrained body of a foldable phone is itself a testament to OPPO’s engineering capabilities.
Display
The inner display is an 8.12-inch 2K LTPO OLED panel covered with UTG ultra-thin flexible glass, supporting 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rates. The outer display measures 6.62 inches, also OLED, with 120Hz refresh rate support. The device runs ColorOS 16 based on Android 16. Both inner and outer screens are equipped with 20MP front-facing cameras, ensuring uncompromised selfie quality whether folded or unfolded.
Imaging
Imaging is another major trump card for the Find N6 and a key focus of OPPO’s deep collaboration with Hasselblad. The rear camera module includes a 200MP ultra-high-resolution camera, two 50MP lenses, and a 2MP multispectral sensor for color calibration. The main camera is rumored to use Sony LYT-808, a 1/1.4-inch large sensor, combined with Hasselblad color tuning and OPPO’s Danxia True Color technology, delivering flagship-grade imaging on a foldable phone. Notably, fitting a 200MP camera into a foldable device would be an industry first.
Battery & Charging
Battery life—one of the biggest pain points for foldable users—sees a major upgrade. The Find N6 is said to pack a 6,000mAh battery, using a dual-cell distributed design (2,700mAh + 3,150mAh), a significant jump from the 5,600mAh in the Find N5. Charging supports 80W wired fast charging and wireless charging. Despite this large battery, OPPO reportedly keeps the weight to around 225g and the folded thickness to just 8.7mm, approaching the hand feel of traditional slab flagships—thanks largely to silicon–carbon anode battery technology and other advanced materials.
Differentiated Highlights
- AI Stylus Support: According to leaks, the Find N6 will be the first to support an AI-powered smart stylus, enabling note-taking, document annotation, and drawing on the 8-inch display—dramatically elevating foldable productivity. The stylus may even include a multispectral sensor for higher pressure sensitivity and hover detection.
- Satellite Communication Version: The Find N6 will reportedly come in a standard version (model PLP110) and a Beidou satellite communication version (model PLP120), the latter supporting satellite messaging—highly valuable for outdoor adventures and emergency scenarios.
- Magnetic Accessory Ecosystem: The launch gift box is said to include an aramid fiber magnetic case, a vacuum magnetic car mount, an ultra-thin magnetic card holder (convertible into a stand), and an OPPO 20W fast-charging power bank, greatly expanding real-world usage scenarios.
Design & Durability
In terms of design, the Find N6 continues OPPO’s circular rear camera module family language, with refined details—most notably, the flash relocated to the upper-left outside of the module. Leaked renders show purple and white color options, with earlier rumors also mentioning titanium, deep black, and gold-orange variants. The outer display is protected by Crystal Shield Ceramic Glass, enhancing drop and scratch resistance while maintaining fold durability. The device also supports IPX8 and IPX9 water resistance, offering strong protection against water exposure.
All signs point to the Find N6 being one of the most ambitious foldable smartphones ever created, redefining expectations not only for crease control, but for performance, imaging, battery life, and overall usability.
Based on a consolidation of information from multiple sources, the OPPO Find N6 is expected to be officially launched in China on March 17, with a simultaneous rollout in select European and South Asian markets. Given that the OnePlus Open 2 has been shelved, the Find N6 will be positioned directly under the OPPO brand for global consumers.
Looking back, what truly excites people about the Find N6 is not any single exaggerated specification, but rather its ambition to address all the core pain points of foldable phones at once—deep creases, performance compromises, downgraded imaging, battery anxiety, and bulky form factors. Each of these issues alone is an industry-wide challenge, yet the Find N6 aims to solve them all in one go.
With a technological moat built on over 3,500 foldable-related patents, OPPO is set to release the full weight of its accumulated expertise through this product, making the Find N6 a concentrated showcase of its foldable-screen R&D strength.
